Their victims were the Telfair County Trojans The Lady Rebels doubled them up, 53-19, to improve to 12-2. The Rebels did not quite do that, but did win by 42 points (86-44). They are also now 12-2.
Turner wasted no time in the girls game. Taking advantage of several turnovers, they were up 20-3 after a quarter. The pace slowed some in the 2nd, with Turner up 29-9 at intermission, but it sped up again in the 3rd.
The Lady Rebels had a 45-13 lead when the mercy-shortened 4th began.
Mylashia Yancey was again dominant. She finished 22 points after scoring 8 in each of the first two periods. She is averaging 19.2 for the year.
The Rebels, still using plenty of junior varsity players because of suspensions, also scored in bunches.
Freshman Tamarrion Terry had 7 of Turner’s 25 as they took a 17-point lead. Telfair did score 16 in the 2nd, but were still unable to keep up with the home team who took a commanding 51-24 lead.
