Josephine Ford, 94, of Nashville died Monday, April 21, 2014 in SGMC Berrien Campus. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Stalvey and the Rev. Gary James officiating. Interment will follow at Ford Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 p.m. today at Lovein Funeral Home.
She was born March 1, 1920 in Atkinson County to the late Millard Luke and the late Tressie Rowe. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of J.N. Ford who died in 1996. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Dorminey; a son, Donald Ford, sister, Lois Moreash, and brother, Buddy Luke.
Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn (Raymond) Roland of Nashville, Sandra (Billy) Webb of Ray City, Rindy (Dave) Kennedy of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jo Ford of Nashville; two sons, Millard (Jean) Ford of Nashville, Henry (Anita) Ford of Nashville; a brother, Jeff Luke of Nashville; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Virginia Ganas of Lakeland. Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
