All 2024 Tift County Schools Teachers of the Year and True Blue Award winners.

TIFTON — Tift County Schools’ two biggest teacher honors were announced Friday evening at halftime of the football game. Trisha Rae Bridges was named district Teacher of the Year and Lisa Hill earned the True Blue Award.

Superintendent Natalie Gore presented honors to both winners, as well as plaques to each school’s and division’s Teacher of the Year and True Blue winners at Brodie Field.

Both the Teacher of the Year and True Blue honorees receive $1,000 and a day off — the latter drawing a loud cheer from the educators. Bridges additionally gets the use of a special Tenneson Nissan Teacher of the Year Nissan Rogue for the school year.

Bridges is at Northeast Middle, while Hill is at Len Lastinger Elementary.
