CALGARY, Alberta — The Calgary Stampeders and former Tift County Blue Devil Malik Henry were made for one another. Earlier this month, the Stampeders announced they had extended Henry’s contract three years. He initially signed with the team in January 2021.
Henry’s second season in Calgary and the Canadian Football League has been a massive success. According to official stats, Henry has 1,023 receiving yards in 13 games this season, with eight touchdowns on 62 receptions. He’s also shown a bit of the all-around excellence that made him a special player with Tift. Henry occasionally returns punts and has two rushing attempts this year.

The Stampeders are third in the West Division with a 10-6 record. Two more games remain on the regular season schedule, Oct. 22 at Saskatoon and Oct. 29, with Saskatoon coming to Calgary.
