GSU names president’s list
STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 2,200 students for excellence in academics on the spring president’s list. To be eligible for the president’s list, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
Tifton: Jerealya Cogdell, Hannah Holton, Meghan Massa, Bernardino Silos.
GSU names dean’s list
STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 3,230 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2022 dean’s list. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Whitley makes dean’s list
AMERICUS — Marley Whitley of Tifton made the spring dean’s list at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 542 students recognized for scholastic achievement.
To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.
GSSU recognizes students
AMERICUS – Area residents made the spring academic achievement list at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among 542 students recognized for scholastic achievement.
To be eligible for the academic achievement list, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

GSSU names graduates
AMERICUS — Area residents were among nearly 300 students who earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from Georgia Southwestern State University during the spring commencement ceremony in the Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.
Nearly 300 students graduated in the ceremony, which was held at 3:00 pm. Barbara Rivera Holmes, who serves on the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, was the commencement speaker.
Tyler Cobb of Tifton earned a bachelor of science in nursing cum laude.
Savannah Kendrick of Chula earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
Samantha Martinez of Tifton earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education summa cum laude.
Adell Simmons of Tifton earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education cum laude.
Levie Walsh of Tifton earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education summa cum laude.
Amber Winter of Tifton earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
Mary Amy of Tifton earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Colby Bearden of Tifton earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
GSU names president’s list
ATLANTA — To be eligible for the president’s list at Georgia State University, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

ATLANTA – To be eligible for the dean’s list, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.
