J.W. Wilson
BILOXI, MISS. — J.W. Wilson, 74, of Biloxi, Miss., formerly of Tifton, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Ocean Springs Hosptial in Ocean Springs, Miss. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Immediately following the services Saturday, the family will also receive friends at the home of Connie Aldridge, 639 Bussey St., Enigma.
Dave Dixon, Larry Hale, Mike Tucker, Dalon Dotson, Jody Aldridge and Jeremy Shaw will serve as pallbearers.
Born Feb. 22, 1933 in Tift County to the late Jimmy Wilson and Janie Adams Wingate, Mr. Wilson was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Aldridge Wilson, who died in December 2003; one brother; and two sisters.
Mr. Wilson had lived in Tifton most of his life before moving to Biloxi, Miss., nine years ago. He served in the U.S. Army and had retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Wilson is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Freddie Wayne Wilson of Tifton and Jimmie and Alma Wilson of Vancleave, Miss.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Glenda and Kenneth Force of Navarre, Fla., and Ginger Diane Wilson of Tifton; one sister, Myrtle Paulk of Juneau, Ak.; and seven grandchildren.

Paul William Phillips
MORGAN — Paul William Phillips, 53, of Tifton, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Morgan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007, in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Pat Hale officiating. Burial will follow at the Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 8, 1953, in Colquitt County to the late Luther Glenn Phillips and Francis Marie Murkerson Phillips, Mr. Phillips was also preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Phillips, who died in 2003, and two brothers.
Mr. Phillips had lived in Tifton most of his life. He attended Barnes Chapel in Enigma.
Mr. Phillips is survived by six daughters, Natasha Rodriguez, Amanda Reyes, Charlotte Phillips and Danyell Blanton, all of Tifton, Stephanie Phillips of Macon and Jessica Barnes of Enigma; two brothers, Jimmy Phillips of Tifton and William Phillips of Ellington; two sisters, Ann Kearce and Annette Puckett, both of Enigma; and 13 grandchildren.

Rosie Lee Henderson
TIFTON — Rosie Lee Henderson, 85, of Tifton, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died Friday, March 23, 2007, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Southern Avenue Church of God. Pastor Reather Campbell will officiate. Visitation will be held from noon until 9 p.m. Friday with a repast at the Neighborhood Service Center following the funeral service Saturday.
Ms. Henderson was born on Nov. 28, 1921. She was an employee of Shelby State Community College and worked at the Park and Midtown Campus. She was a member of Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ in Memphis, Tenn. for 40 years. Bishop G.E. Patterson was her pastor. She served as Senior Adult Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent for 20 years.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, Charlie Jackson and Leandrew Henderson; five children, Evonne and Melvin Jean Jackson, Margaret Smith, Diane Henderson and Dr. Deloris.
Survivors include two daughters, Tommie Miller of Detroit, Mich., and Mary Henderson of Tifton; one son, N. Leandrew Rushdan of Atlanta; and a host of grandchildren, great-granchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

William Larry Keen
NASHVILLE — William Larry Keen, 63, of Nashville, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Keen Cemetery. Bobby McCorvey will officiate. Visitation will be held at the graveside prior to services.
Mr. Keen was born on Aug. 31, 1943, in Tift County. He was the son of James Preston Keen and Hulda Hanchey Keen, both deceased. He was a farmer and a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Callahan Keen of Nashville; four sons, Richard Keen, Jonathan Keen, William Keen and Matthew Keen, all of Nashville; three sisters, Viola Johnson of Tifton, Betty Dupree of Nashville and Doris Rouse of Ray City; two brothers, David Keen of Spring Lake, N.C., and Harry Keen of Cordele; and a grand dog, Savannah Blue Keen.
The family request no flowers. Please make contributions to the Humane Society or to the Health Care Advocates of Berrien County.

Melvin Gregory Moore Jr.
GAINESVILLE, FLA. — Melvin Gregory “Greg” Moore Jr., 31, of Gainesville, Fla., died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 in Alapaha. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Alfonso Guiterrez officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
Mr. Moore was born on Nov. 26, 1975, in Alachua County, Fla. He was the son of Melvin Moore of Gainesville, Fla., and the late Josa Mae Hogan Moore. He was an accounting supervisor.
In addition to his father, Mr. Moore is survived by his stepmother, Martha Moore of Gainesville, Fla.; two sisters, Carla Dianne Moore of Gainesville, Fla. and Sonja Wilson of High Springs, Fla.; four nieces, Kristy Ross of Lake City, Fla., Lindsey Alligood of High Springs, Fla., Jackie Wilson of Sarasota, Fla. and Stacy Tilley of Polk, N.C.; and a brother-in-law, Michael Wilson.
