Marlowe named Player of the Month

EVERETT, Wash. — Cade Marlowe continues to rack up awards.
The Tiftarea Academy alumnus, now playing for the Everett AquaSox, was named High-A West Player of the Month for July.
During the month, Marlowe drove in 25 runs while blasting six home runs. The home runs hit in that span are nearly half of his season total (13). In addition, Marlowe swiped seven bases and scored 21 runs.
For the year, he is hitting .270 with 68 RBIs, 18 steals 59 runs scored and 76 hits, 41 of which have been for extra bases.
Marlowe began the year at Low-A Modesto before being promoted to Everett in June. Major League Baseball considers him the Seattle Mariners’ No. 27 prospect.
