Where to see it
“This is a rave for the Blue Sky Grill in Moultrie, Ga. They will be carrying the Georgia-Louisiana Monroe football game on their TV in their grill Saturday at 1. Anyone from Tifton who wants to go watch the game, please come to Moultrie. I am a local man from Tifton and I called them and they will be calling and showing the game. Just wanted to let everyone in Tifton know who wants to see the Georgia Bulldogs play.”
Need a light
“We have a hill at Belmont and 20th Street which obstructs the view of traffic. A red light there would be a big help to those of us who are trying to get out on 20th Street without having an accident during the busy times of the day.”
Something’s wrong
“We are being gouged in the State of Georgia, especially Tifton, with the gas prices. We need to write or call our governor about the gouging of gas prices that we have. When Florida sells gasoline below Georgia prices, something is wrong because they have no ad valorem taxes due to tacking the tax on their gasoline prices. …Let’s do something about this, folks.”
Cause and effect?
“Isn’t it amazing how the press bashes the president and then comes back and acts surprised when his approval rating drops? Somehow there needs to be accountability in the press for their attacks on persons in politics, which damages their ability to govern.”
A waste?
“I would like to rant about the traffic light on Murray and 20th. It is a shame that when I try to get out on 20th, I have to wait for the light to turn green for me to turn. What a waste of our tax money.”
Other problems
“Oh, how we need a traffic light at Park Avenue and 20th Street. It is a busy intersection and we have to wait too long to cross 20th Street or to turn onto 20th Street. Could our city fathers help us with this since they helped down at Murray?”
Hard workers
“This is in reference to the noise at the fairgrounds concerning the Hispanics and Mexicans. I would like to say that my hat goes off to the Hispanic and the Mexican people because they are the ones who do most of the work around here. You have so many sorry young people, black and white, who are not doing anything but these people will get out and work and try to help themselves and not live off other people.”
