TIFTON — The Tift County Schools Board of Education was proud to recognize the Tift County High School healthcare science program at their most recent meeting for achieving industry certification.

After extensive review from leaders and professionals in the field, the high school program received the status of industry certification, marking it as the best of the best in terms of program quality.

Dana Spurlin, chief information officer for Tift County Schools, offered congratulations to the team behind the healthcare science program, presenting them with a banner marking their achievement of certification and asserting each and every one of them was vital to reach that accomplishment.

School superintendent Natalie Gore expressed her optimism for the certification, noting that students would be able to receive industry certification themselves through classes within the healthcare science program without expending their dual enrollment hours.
