Tift reports about 120 virus cases

TIFTON – Tift County reported about 120 new virus cases during the past week, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Tift County’s COVID-19 death toll early this week remained at 70 virus-related deaths since the start of the pandemic with the state reporting 10 probable deaths, according to the GDPH early this week. 

Tift County has reported more than 2,800 cases since the pandemic began earlier this year, according to the GDPH, along with about 520 antigen cases – results from rapid virus tests. 

The county has reported more than 320 Tift residents have been hospitalized because of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH.
