Tift reports 200-plus virus cases

TIFTON – Tift County reported more than 200 new virus cases and one death during the past week, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Tift County’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 68 deaths related to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH early this week. 

Tift County has reported more than 2,440 cases since the pandemic began earlier this year, according to the GDPH.

The county has reported about 270 Tift residents have been hospitalized because of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH.
