TIFTON — Tift County Schools will remain closed to students Wednesday. This change was announced Tuesday afternoon by Tift Schools on social media. Faculty and staff have been asked to return Wednesday.

“All Tift County Schools will remain closed for students on Wednesday, October 2nd,” said the system in a statement. Power was back on for nearly all students living in Tifton city Tuesday, but telephone and internet service repairs are ongoing.

Tift said it will update Wednesday as to the status of classes for Thursday.
