THOMASVILLE — Tiftarea Academy is now in sole possession of first place in District 3-3A after a 35-14 win at Brookwood School Friday night.

At 2-0, Tiftarea is the only undefeated team in the district. Valwood lost Friday to Deerfield-Windsor, 27-6. The Panthers won their region opener over Deerfield.

The Panthers scored 14 points in the first quarter and led 20-7 at intermission.

Tiftarea will travel to Terrell Academy next week before finishing the regular season at home against Valwood.
