TIFTON — Tift County’s Lady Devils paced sixth in the Class 6A state golf tournament, played at Apple Mountain Golf Club in Habersham County May 20-21.

The Lady Devils shot a combined 495 over the 36 holes. Brianna Domagala was low medalist for the team with rounds of 80 and 79 for a total of 159. Domagala was 15th individually.

Payne Lodge turned in a 167 after rounds of 83 and 84. Mattie Hendrix was Tift’s other counting score at 176 after improving her first round by eight strokes on day two. Riley Williams and Abbie Hendrix were also on the course.

Over in Gainesville, Blaze Abbott competed as an individual for the Blue Devils. He had rounds of 80 and 78.
