TIFTON — The children of Tiftarea will be able to enjoy one last summer bash, courtesy of the Anthony Bateman Youth Center, July 18.

The center will host its second Bateman Block Party, going under the title of the “Back to School Block Party” to serve as an end-of-summer celebration for the youth of the community as they prepare to head back to school.

Envisioned as a “culminating activity” for Tiftarea’s kids by Dr. Tonja Tift, youth center executive director, the block party will feature food, a DJ, games, water slides and bounce houses, and giveaways to help close out the season right.

Various organizations from the community will also be contributing to the celebration, including the public library, police, and fire department.
