Tift Shotgun Team competes at state championship

TIFTON — The Tift Shotgun Team recently participated in the Georgia Scholastic Clay Target Program State Championship at the Forest City Gun Club in Savannah. The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) provides children from elementary grades through high school and college with the opportunity to participate in the sports of trap, skeet, and sporting clays.
The team started in 2018 with just three athletes but grew this year to 10. The team is a mix of public, private and homeschooled children. On the state team this year are Skylar Brevard, Maddox Brevard, Logan Parrish, Charlie Bryan, Jace Marian, Celiabeth Branch, and Cader Lawrence.

Approximately 300 competitors from acoss the sate were at the competition.
