On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Ralph W. Powell of Wilmot & Powell in Sylvester on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Tifton Judicial Circuit, covering Irwin, Tift, Turner and Worth counties.

Judge Powell will be well served by his 34 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including his current service as judge of the Worth County State Court, Poulan Municipal Court and Warwick Municipal Court. He also serves as county attorney for Worth County and previously served as solicitor general for Clarke County.

By accepting this appointment, Judge Powell demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new capacity of judicial leadership.
