TIFTON — CHESS Academy has tipped of their 2024-25 basketball season.

The Knights got 21 big points from Daniel Johnson in the 71-53 victory over Southwest Georgia STEM Academy. Daniel Hicks added 18 points and Josiah Bishoff and Braiden Luke each scored 11.

Johnson had 16 rebounds for a double-double, according to team stats. Bishoff led with six assists.

CHESS added a 60-45 win over Open Bible Tuesday. They are set to host Crisp Academy Thursday and First Academy of Douglas on Friday.

December’s schedule includes road games at First Academy and Community Christian.
