TIFTON — Alan Parrish and Bonnie Blue, co-owners of the new business The Monument Company, are eager to get to work providing their services to Tifton.

The two owners and their staff celebrated the grand opening of their monument making service the morning of Nov. 20, inviting community members to join them for a ribbon cutting hosted by the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce and a small celebration for the occasion.

The new business aims to provide the design, engravement, and installation of headstones, slabs, markers, and other memorials for the loved ones of their customers in materials such as granite, marble, and bronze. In celebration of their grand opening, they hope to offer their customers a discount on these services.

Blue reported that she and Parrish had been working towards the opening of the business for around a year, and was excited to finally get to work assisting the community.

Moving ahead, the co-owners expressed an interest in adding a service for engraving QR codes onto the headstones and markers they provide, which would be linked to a webpage for their deceased loved one.
