TIFTON – Authorities are seeking a teenage suspect in connection to a shooting incident that left a man dead and a teen injured earlier this week.

Damarion Dunn, 17, is wanted on charges of one count murder, two counts aggravated assault and two counts criminal damage to property, according to a Be On the Lookout issued late Thursday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Dunn is wanted in connection with the July 31 drive-by shooting on Belleview Circle, according to the GBI.

A 43-year-old man and an 18-year-old, both Tifton residents, were shot at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 31, according to a Tifton Police Department statement.

Alex Troy Knighton, 43, of Tifton was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said in the statement released Tuesday afternoon, adding the teenager was listed in stable condition Tuesday at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Tifton police officers responded to the 1700 block of Belleview Circle “in response to reports of gunshots and a person being shot,” police said. “Arriving at the scene, officers discovered that two males had been shot during a drive-by shooting.”

The TPD requested assistance from the GBI.

“Dunn was last known to be in the Albany, Ga., area but is known to frequent Ashburn and Tifton, Ga.,” according to the GBI BOLO, adding the suspect “may be armed and dangerous.”

Police ask anyone with information about the case to contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Sylvester at (229) 777-2080 or the Tifton Police Department at (229) 382-3132.
