Ronnie Morgan, 71, of Tifton, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Tommy McDonald officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Albritton – Beaumont Funeral Directors.

Honorary pallbearers will be bus drivers and maintenance persons of the Tift County Board of Education.

Mr. Morgan was born June 1, 1939, in Coolidge to the late Jonny Green Morgan and Lenora Shiver Morgan. He is also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Morgan and his family were the original owners of Wishbone restaurant, which they operated for many years. After his retirement, he was employed with the Tift County Board of Education as a bus driver for 19 years. Mr. Morgan enjoyed working in his yard, baking cakes and raising flowers. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife Kay Shadoin Morgan of Tifton; his son Ronald Keith Morgan of Waycross; his daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda Stokes and Candice and Stacy Johnson, all of Tifton; his daughter-in-law, Starr Boehnke of Tifton; his sister, Lorene Williamson of Fredrick, Md.; his brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Sharon Morgan of Valdosta; and his grandchildren, Daniel Morgan, Kaylee Stokes, Miranda Morgan, Austin Stokes, Tyler Morgan and Landon Johnson.
