TIFTON — Several Southwest District 4-H members attended a winners workshop.
Philycia Hamilton, history, Coleman Mangham, physical, biological and earth sciences, Leila Rimes, workforce preparation, Bethany Samuel, international, Colin Williamson, target sports, and Amare Woods, computer information technology, won first place at District Project Achievement earlier this year.
Winners’ Workshop is a district event hosted by the Houston & Peach County Extension teams. Hamilton, Mangham, Rimes, Samuel, Williamson, Woods and Ashley Carroll attended the workshop, 4-H representatives said in a statement.
“The full-day workshop allows 4-Hers to practice their demonstrations, complete interviews, enjoy lunch during an etiquette class and participate in community service,” representatives said. “This helps 4-Hers learn about how the state competition operates and gives them valuable feedback on their performances.”
