Commission offers reimbursement for septic systems

- Homeowners within the targeted watershed (blue area on map) may qualify for 50% reimbursement of costs of septic system pump-out, repair or even replacement from the Southern Georgia Regional Commission and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.
TIFTON — The Southern Georgia Regional Commission has partnered with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division to help improve the New River’s water quality, according to a press release.
Homeowners within the targeted watershed (blue area on map) may qualify for 50% reimbursement of costs of septic system pump-out, repair or even replacement.
Restrictions apply, and homeowners must have a working agreement with the Southern Georgia Regional Commission prior to commencement of activity.
This grant program is open to New River watershed homeowners on a first-come, first-served basis, without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marital status, or handicap.
