Jackson named to provost’s list
TROY, Ala. — Emily Jackson of Tifton has been named to the provost’s list at Troy University for the spring semester/Term 4 of the 2022-23 academic year.
The provost’s list honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65.
GSU announces president’s list
STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 2,100 students for excellence in academics on the spring president’s list. To be eligible for the president’s list, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
Area students include:
Tifton: Annslee Bassett, Isaac Brown, Jerealya Cogdell, Macy Hill, Adeline Tran, Caroline Vickers, Rylee Watson.
GSU names dean’s list
STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 3,110 students for excellence in academics on the spring 2023 dean’s list.
To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
Area students include:
Tifton: Ellen Bloebaum, Jaylen Bryant, Hayden Carr, Jenna Gann, Chloe Holton, Bernardino Silos, Gabbi Tucker.
VSU names dean’s list
VALDOSTA — More than 1,600 students were named to Valdosta State University’s spring 2023 dean’s list. This includes area residents.
To qualify for dean’s list at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher.
Note that developmental studies, transient and graduate students are not eligible for dean’s list status.

GCSU names dean’s list
MILLEDGEVILLE — Samuel Sheffield and Erin Dicks, both of Tifton, made the dean’s list in the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and Technology at Georgia College & State University.

MILLEDGEVILLE — Georgia College & State University recognized its students from the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and Technology for graduating during the spring 2023 semester.

GSU announces president’s list
ATLANTA — To be eligible for the president’s list, degree-seeking students must have earned a grade-point average of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Evans named to president’s list
MISSISSIPPI STATE, Miss. — Carlee Evans of Tifton was named to the Mississippi State University spring 2023 president’s list.
Evans was among more than 4,000 students named to the spring 2023 president’s list. Students on the president’s list achieved a 3.80 or better grade-point average, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of course work with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.
GSU hosts graduation
ATLANTA — More than 4,000 students graduated from Georgia State University during the spring semester at the associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, specialist and doctoral levels.
Area graduates include:
Katherine Owens, of Tifton earned a bachelor of arts degree in English, with a concentration in advanced composition and rhetoric.
Randa Cooper of Tifton earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree with a minor in psychology.
Roberts named to dean’s list
KENNESAW — Lainey Roberts of Tifton has been named to Kennesaw State University’s spring dean’s list in recognition of academic achievement.
Students named to president’s list
KENNESAW — Kennesaw State University has named nearly 5,400 students to the president’s list in recognition of their academic excellence for the spring semester. To achieve this honor, each undergraduate student must have completed at least nine semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.
