Braves announce second World Series trophy stop in Tifton

ATLANTA — July 21 is shaping up to be twice as nice for Tift County and area fans of the Atlanta Braves. A few weeks ago, the 2021 World Series champions announced the Commissioner’s Trophy would make a stop at Tift County Recreation Department. Now, the team has announced even more.

The Commissioner’s Trophy will make a second stop in Tifton on July 21 at Truist Bank on Virginia Avenue from noon until 2 p.m. A Braves tour representative confirmed the trophy will make stops at both locations on that day. Tift County Recreation Department on Victory Drive will host the World Series trophy from 4-7 p.m.

Truist Bank is a natural location for a trophy stop; the Braves play their home games at Truist Park.

Downtown Tifton and the City of Tifton have each announced on social media that, along with the trophy, there will be food trucks and family activities at the Tift County Recreation Department location.

If area residents are unable to attend either stop July 21, the Commissioner’s Trophy is making appearances this month in several cities in southern Georgia.

The trophy will be in Waycross at Truist Bank July 15, at the Georgia Beer Company in Valdosta July 16, the Home Depot in Albany July 22, Thomasville’s Ritz July 23 at the historic Ryland Theatre in Americus July 24. More stops are listed at: https://www.mlb.com/braves/fans/trophy-tour.
