TIFTON — With the opening of another of its hotels in Tifton, Williams Investment is bringing a bit more of a feeling of home back to a place that, for some of its heads, feels like home to them.

Members of the company and the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the opening of Williams Investment’s fifth hotel in Tifton, a La Quinta Inn and Suites, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month.

Boasting 93 rooms and suites, the new hotel offers a variety of services such as complimentary breakfast and fitness and business centers to ensure guests have a proper and enjoyable stay. Having opened last year, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was meant to celebrate joining the chamber.

Williams Investment has operates the Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn and Suites, Country Inn and Suites, and Days Inn and Suites in Tifton. 

The immersion in the community is a perfect return to form for Rick Williams, company vice president, who has had a long history with Tifton.

Having lived in Tifton in the 1980s and opened some of his first Tifton hotels in the late 1970s, Williams has been a part of the Tifton community for many years, and said he is happy to know 30 years later, the city is just as welcoming to his newest establishment.

“We’re very blessed all the way through with presence,” Williams said. “And we continue to improve our hotels and represent Tifton to the traveling public in a positive way. I’m really excited about what we have here in Tifton.”

Following the opening of the hotel, he said Williams Investment is eager to continue development in Tifton in the future, and is working toward building another La Quinta in Valdosta soon.
