TIFTON — Tidewater Equipment Company, located at 1825 US 82, held a ribbon cutting on Jan. 7.

The company, which specializes in construction, agriculture, forestry and industrial equipment, sells new and used equipment, particularly Case IH farm equipment, parts and also does repairs.

Branch manger Robert McLeod said that Tidewater has a long history in the timber and logging business before diversifying into agriculture and construction equipment.

“To be a farmer or a contractor or a construction worker or anything, these are the jobs that drive the country forward,” he said. “They’re also the ones that are very easily forgotten. We want you to know we support you and want to help you in whatever way we can.”

The ribbon cutting was part of the open house activities that took place throughout the day.

Attendees were able to attend workshops to preview equipment and lunch was also provided.
