TIFTON — Tift County has named its Players of the Week for the Perry game.

Offensive Player of the Week goes to to Azaria Smith. Smith passed for a career best 174 yards against Perry, completing 12 of 21 passes with one touchdown. He also ran for 21 yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week is Jonta Strozier. A sophomore linebacker, Strozier had two tackles on kickoffs and one on a punt.

Defensive Player of the Week is Tyre West. West, a junior, had two tackles, two assists, three hurries and forced an interception.

Scout Team Player of the Week is sophomore defensive back Jeovanni Torrez.

Big Boy of the Week on defense is Bubba Ellis, who recorded eight tackles, two assists, a tackle for a loss, a sack (and two more big hits) and one pass breakup.

Big Boy of the Week on offense is Ross Tanner, who graded at 85% and had five pancake blocks.
