Thanks to Samaritan
“I would like to Rave about the person that assisted my husband a couple of nights ago here in Tifton on Highway 41. His car broke down. This man came by to assist him, gave him the $2 to put gas in the car, brought him home, never left his name, address or anything. I would like people to know that there are Good Samaritans in this county. Thank you, Mr. Whoever You Are. Thank you and God bless you.”
Be mad at GOP
“The man or woman calling and fussing at Sonny Perdue about the insurance, raising the insurance and the flag issue, it’s not Sonny you need to argue with or Sonny you need to be mad at, it’s these damn Republicans who won’t leave the flag issue alone. Just let the flag be what it is or go back to the previous flag, the original flag before this whole Confederate issue. So don’t be mad at Sonny. Be mad at all the Republicans who won’t let it go. He’s just doing his job.”
To each his own
“I would just like to say I’m tired of hearing about this flag issue. There is no way to please everyone, so let’s go back to that old saying: I’ll fly my flag and you fly yours.”
Put a lid on it
“It seems that we have won the war, more or less, in Iraq. The French, or the Frogs as I call them, are now trying to muscle in and get some kind of welfare from this victory, and it’s about time for us to tell those people to go back to Paris or wherever they want to go and stay there. Now, I’ve lived in Paris and used to like the French people, but it’s time for us to tell them to knock it off, that we are fed up with them. If France, Russia and Germany had done their duties as they should we’d never have had to go to war because the Iraqis would seen the writing on the wall and would have given in without a war. Now they’re sounding off and it’s time for us to tell them to shut up.”
Roy’s plan?
“It’s my honest opinion that Roy Barnes wanted to be president, at least vice president, of the United States and that’s why he decided to try to please people like Jesse Jackson and all the other liberals that are using the flag issue to keep certain people under their control and be able to ride around in their Cadillacs. And he figured that if he could get these people on his side, that he had enough of what we call yellow-dog Democrats, people who would vote for a yellow dog if he was a Democrat, to support him and then he’d have the whole North supporting him and he’d be at least vice president And the fact now that he’d go and endorse somebody for president, he’s still got that hope up there. He’s playing the field. He’s got that on his mind. He wants to pull a Jimmy Carter. Old Jimmy wasn’t any good either, you know?”
Good response
“I recently wrote a letter to our two senators and three representatives for our area. The only one I received a response from was Sen. Peg Blitch. She responded to my letter promptly with acknowledgement of my request for her support. Even if she is unable to help, she should get a big Rave for caring. Thanks, Sen. Peg Blitch.”
