Train That Dog reaching out to Tifton’s canines

TIFTON — “How ‘bout them Dawgs?” is a common refrain throughout Georgia. The best friend to many humans, dogs are ubiquitous throughout the area.
So what happens when Fido is being a bit unruly? That’s where Beth Daniel comes in.

Daniel, owner of Train That Dog, joined the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce May 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the chamber’s office. With her, was Xoee (pronounced same as Zoey), a good girl whose image doubles as the business logo.
Train That Dog is a new business, only opening at the tail end of April.
“I already have several classes,” Daniel said. “It’s a wonderful thing.”
Daniel said interest is high in her programs. There are enough enrolled in a basic obedience class that she is dividing them into small and large dogs. She only uses positive reinforcement when working with dogs.
“I am passionate,” she said, as Xoee begged for belly rubs.
