Please return
“This is a Rant for the person or persons responsible for stealing my mother-in-law’s white bag from her work buggy at Harvey’s on Central Avenue this past Wednesday. She needs it back because she has medicine and her driver’s license in it, and the checkbooks that were in it aren’t any good because she canceled the accounts when she found it missing.”
Wake up
“I read Robert Sharpe’s article. Degrading? Drug education? Come on, another Washington human rights activist. These kids know all about drugs, he’s right on that, but deferring them for after-school activities, give me a break. I have more common sense than that. It’s this simple, take the high of being the cool druggie or the sense of rebellion out of the equation, along with the money, problem solved. You bust a few head honchos or most popular kids, then see the trickle-down effect. Xanax, and Lortab are your first hits; they pass them regularly in high school. I know this because my now-graduated daughters knew it since eighth grade. WAKE UP, parents, your little angel may be more naughty than you think. Peer pressure is all around. To be naive is to be green.”
Huge thank-you
“A huge THANK-YOU to the two gentlemen from EMC today who came out to take care of our power problem. They were so nice, and we are so very thankful to them — and actually, to all those folks who had to work on a holiday! THANKS!”
Not much
“Does anyone also understand that extra money is added to the DELIVERED pizza. I understand your dilemma, driver. A two-buck tip is not much, but you also get a kickback off the pizza price just in case no one tips.”
Clueless
“Hey, ‘Parents’ job,’ lots of parents are clueless and blind to what their children are doing. Also, I know of parents buying and supplying their children with alcohol. Many of the parents’ jobs have been thrown to the schools because of ignorant parents!”
Why stop there
“Drug tests in school are invasive. No private citizen’s children should be subjected to such. Innocent until proven guilty. Why not go all the way? Strip searches. Lock down. Solitary.”
