Marlys Gerjets Lang
TIFTON — Marlys Gerjets Lang, 53, of Tifton, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the sanctuary of First Baptist Church. The Rev. Ron Lawhon will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Alexander, Doug Bowen, David Hathorn, Larry Hornbuckle, Larry Hobbs, Tony Howell, Lynn Kelley, Wayne Matthews, Charles Powell and Mack Sirmans.
Honorary pallbearers will be Morgan and Cynthia Moon, Bob Patrick and the employees of Patrick Tractor Company, Class III, Adult V Sunday School class and members of the Sanctuary Choir at First Baptist Church, Gary Vowell and the Tift County Sheriff’s Department, Rosemary Alexander, Carol Bowen, Patsy Hathorn, Ty Hobbs, Carla Hornbuckle, Sandra Matthews, Nelda Powell Marion Sirmans, Sue Patton, Walter and Pat Stephens, Danny and Paula Edwards, Wallace Bodkin, Willie Andrews, Oscar Lindsey and Charles Swain.
Flowers will be accepted and donations may be made to the Marlys Lang Memorial Fund at First Baptist Church of Tifton.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born Nov. 17, 1948, in Maxbass, N.D., Mrs. Lang was the daughter of Malvin and Ethel Trimborn Gerjets, both deceased. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian Anthony Lang.
A resident of Tifton since July 1973, Mrs. Lang was a Certified Public Accountant at Patrick Tractor Company, a member of First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir and a member of the Faith Ministry team.
She is survived by her husband, Larry R. Lang of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Tonya Gray Lang of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela Lang and Nicasio Castro of Powder Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Cheryl Gerjets of Minot, N.D.; one sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and Noble Penn of Puyallup, Wash.; three grandchildren, Laura and Gabriela Castro and Kyle Gray.

Dorothy Lee Webb
NASHVILLE — Dorothy Lee Webb, 68, of Nashville, died Monday, July 15, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Johnny Hendley and the Rev. Warner Guthrie will officiate. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville.
Born Aug. 28, 1933, in Atkinson County, Mrs. Webb was the daughter of Will Luke and Esther Smith, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one son, Sammy Webb, who died in 1986, and one brother, Vandy Luke, who died in 2000.
Mrs. Webb was a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Webb of Nashville; two daughters, Elaine Douglas of Nashville and Elizabeth Moore of Richmond Hill; two sons, David Webb and John Webb, both of Nashville; five sisters, Nancy Lee Turner and Jessie Mae Cornelius, both of Nashville, Edna Mackey of Valdosta, Willene Lewis of Fredericksburg, Va., and Dixie Silvia of Valdosta; two brothers, Thomas Luke of Nashville and Dean Luke of Valdosta; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Leona Browning
NASHVILLE — Leona Browning, 89, of Nashville, died Monday, July 15, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Warner Guthrie and the Rev. Johnny Hendley will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
Born Aug. 24, 1916, in Berrien County, Mrs. Browning was the daughter of Joe Harley Roberts and Annie Belle Fender, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lucious Browning, who died in 1981.
Mrs. Browning was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sara Ross of Ocilla and Meredith Lielqeuit of Plantation, Fla.; two sons, Tillman Bro
wning of Orlando, Fla., and Earl Wayne Browning of Nashville; one sister, Ethel Williams of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Julia McKenna Welborn
PERRY — Julia McKenna Welborn, infant, of Perry, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins.
Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth St., Macon, GA 31201.
She is survived by her parents, Will and Megan Wilborn of Perry; her grandparents, Mike and Judy Nicholson of Tifton, Andy and Peggy Wilborn of Moultrie and Lynn and Stan Ruzic of Kathleen; her great-grandparents, Regina Jester of Centerville, Jerry and Carol Burch of Tifton and Julia Parker of Tifton; and numerous other family members.

Cheryl Ann Gay Golden
NORMAN PARK — Cheryl Ann Gay Golden, 44, of Norman Park, died Monday, July 15, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Voyles and the Rev. Donnie Sloan will officiate. Burial will follow at Omega Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jody Bozeman, Ricky Perry, David Sloan, Victor Martin, Ray Sloan, Jason Mercer, Brad Golden and Terry Golden.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Baker Funeral Home.
Born Sept. 15, 1957, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Golden was the daughter of J. H. Gay Jr. and Carolyn Martin, both of Norman Park.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Golden is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, LaDon and Donna Golden of Moultrie and Justin Golden of Cairo; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Kenneth Groves of Moultrie; three brothers, Marty Gay of Ty Ty, James Gay of Topeka, Kans., and Roger Earl Gay of Hahira; one sister, Teri Mercer of Norman Park; four grandchildren; and her grandparents, Earl Martin of Omega and Ruth Vickers of Haines City, Fla.
