Aero Boutique celebrates 10th anniversary

TIFTON — With 10 years of business under its belt, Aero Boutique knew it had to commemorate the occasion in style.

The local boutique celebrated its 10th anniversary the weekend of Aug. 11, partnering with the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce and various other businesses for a big birthday bash.

Initially only a clothing vendor in a smaller establishment on 3rd Street, Aero has since expanded, both in size – thanks to its current location on Tift Avenue – and in repertoire, now offering monogramming, printing and a larger assortment of clothes, turning the boutique into a “one-stop shop for moms,” as owner Kayla Buhler has dubbed it.

Celebrations for the anniversary began the morning of Aug. 11, with the staff of Aero holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the help of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce.

Buhler expressed her pride in making it this far and thanked both her staff for supporting her business and the people of Tifton for creating a community they can call home.

“When I first opened, I had a goal of, ‘Let’s just open a little boutique,’” Buhler said. “Never did I think, 10 years later, this is where we’d be.”

The following day, the celebration kicked into full swing with a block party out in front of the shop. Throughout the afternoon, residents of Tifton were treated to food from Taqueria Halcón and Cole’s Cakery and vendors like Britts Flower Bar and Linked Jewelry Bar.

Aero got in on the fun as well, holding giveaways on items from the businesses taking part in the celebration and premiering a store inventory full of new items.

Moving ahead, Buhler said she hopes to continue growing her business, primarily focusing on her fundraising service, in which she designs T-shirts for other businesses or medical patients and diverting all the proceeds to their cause, with the intent of expanding its reach and impact.

Aero Boutique is located at 121 Tift Ave., and is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call (229) 396-5615.
