Simmons Family Chiropractic celebrates ribbon cutting and relocation

TIFTON — Simmons Family Chiropractic has helped Tifton residents with back and muscle pain for over twenty years, and with a new home and partner, they aim to continue that with gusto.

The chiropractor recently celebrated the relocation of their offices, as well as their joining of the local chamber of commerce, with a ribbon cutting Oct. 24.

Originally founded on Tift Avenue at the turn of the century, the medical office transferred to their current location on 4th St in June of this year, celebrating both this past week with the help of the chamber.

In addition to the standard services of treating back, neck, and muscle pain, Simmons Family Chiropractic works to be proactive with their patients, educating them on how they can take care of their body outside of the doctor’s office, through exercises like stretches and muscle balancing.

“A phrase I heard a long time ago was, ‘Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day,’” said Dr. Robert S. Simmons, owner and chiropractor. “I can adjust a person, get them to feel good for a day or two or a week, but if I can show them things that they can do on their own at home, they’ll do better longer.”

Simmons hopes to be able to support his patients even more in the future, eager to establish an exercise and rehab area within his offices to more effectively show patients how they can better maintain their bodies on their own.
