CHULA — Tiftarea Academy continues its busy week of basketball with two more varsity doubleheaders this week.

Southwest Georgia Academy will be in town Thursday night, with Georgia Christian visiting on Friday. Both are non-district games. Tipoff is at 6:15 p.m. for each.

Tiftarea finishes the pre-Christmas part of their schedule on the road, going to Citizens Christian and Georgia Christian, scheduled for Dec. 9 and Dec. 13, respectively.

The locals split with Citizens Christian Tuesday night. The Panthers won by a point, 65-64, and the Lady Panthers dropped a 41-31 contest.

With the win, the Panthers are now 2-0 for the season. Head coach Rob Flick said he had most of his lineup back from football season.
