BAINBRIDGE — Tift County’s Blue Devils conquered the Bainbridge Bearcats Friday night, a road win that was even more special.

Tift won, 2-0, the 100th victory for head coach Bobby Earls with the Blue Devils.

Saturday, Earls said he had been blessed over the years: Players, assistant coaches “and a wonderful wife and family.”

Manny Marin and Jonathan Salazar scored for Tift, which improves to 6-0-1.

The Lady Devils fell 5-1 to Bainbridge, according to head coach Sherri Constable.

Kaylen Andrews scored Tift’s goal on a free kick. “Beautiful shot,” said Constable. Diana Reducindo recorded 5 saves.

The Blue Devils return to the road Tuesday night for matches at Peach County. Their next home contests will be some of the most spirited of the year: Region 1-7A openers against Colquitt County.
